"According to recent press reports, Pentagon officials have been spying on what they call "suspicious" meetings by civilian groups, including student groups opposed to the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" ban on lesbian, gay and bisexual military personnel. The story, first reported by Lisa Myers and NBC News last week, noted that Pentagon investigators had records pertaining to April protests at the State University of New York at Albany and William Patterson College in New Jersey. A February protest at NYU was also listed, along with the law school's LGBT advocacy group OUTlaw, which was classified as "possibly violent" by the Pentagon. A UC-Santa Cruz "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" protest, which included a gay kiss-in, was labeled as a "credible threat" of terrorism." -http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/12/pentagon-anti-terror-investigators.html
Ah! Mais, la biblioteque.
Feuilles rouge comme les cuchotes Une chatte avec l'estomac Pleine comme la lune Marche, patte apres patte Sous le soleil du matin.
So, went to a potluck hosted by Bencallme, yeah! It was pretty awesome. There were hippies, two cats, six guitars, a flute, three drums, chocolate fondue, hippies, vegan dinner, a quebec lumberjack girl who taught me to knit socks, and hippies. And the bathroom had red taps. Did I mention hippies? Also! I stopped and asked a guy for direction on the way there and he turned out to be that redhead (andrew?) who played Will Scarlet in Oak bay's Singing Nun. So, love you all. Alicia
ps. Who wrote that song: "Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, and she's always gone so long... yadda yadda"?
"On ma dit que les distances moquent bien de nous, qu'ils nous donnent rien, et qu'ils nous prommaient tous." (it's supposed to be 'le destin' pas 'les distances' but I thought it was better this way..) A crow flew into the bakery, all the way to back, past the fridges and the ovens, and watched us kneading dough. Then an American tourist tried to pay me with two dollars bills and didn't understand the fact that they don't exist anymore. It evens out I guess. Love, Alicia
Getting less sick, HURRAH! I'm just popping back those drugs. Quit Paprika, which sucks but it was too much. Made an appointment for travel shots. Paid for my TICKET. Last day at Bond Bond's Nov. 16th. Got 43 dreadlocks put into my hair. Got invited to a christmas party in Bali by a pretty boy. Saw J.Wombsley!!! Had dinner with Shaedy. -dies of love-
Yep. Pretty much a very productive week. Love, Alicia
Sick as a dog. Two weeks and counting. This is my apology to everyone who's emails/phone calls/etc etc I've not replied to. I really am sorry. I would, if getting out of bed were a little easier. Anyway, love you. Alicia
15 hour work days are officially TOO LONG. It's a good thing everyone and BB's and Paprika is so nice or my life would really suck. That and the food is always good. Anyway, the official blurb on Paprika is: two thumbs up. The amount of dishes they go through is astounding.
Last but not least, don't be assholes. It's really not cool. love, Alicia
What a fucking shlamozzle. That's right, SHLAMOZZLE. This may sound really teen angsty, high schol nostalgic, but: everything's falling apart! The realisation that I won't see a lot of people again just sort of hit home. I wanted Rea. She was gone. In other, brighter news, the job at Paprika looks promising.
